2. Shardul Thakur

The all-rounder from Mumbai joined CSK in 2018 and since then has been an integral part of the side. He rose to prominence in the last couple of seasons and was the go-to bowler for MS Dhoni in IPL 2021. Whenever CSK needed a breakthrough, Thakur was pressed into action. He has a knack for taking wickets and picks important wickets at crucial times. The medium-pacer finished the 2021 edition with 21 wickets in 16 games at an economy of 8.80.

But his true value is more than just numbers. The 30-year-old can swing the ball but more importantly, he has a supernatural ability to hit the ball at the right length consistently.

In the second half of IPL 2021, Thakur delivered double blows in one over in three matches. Along with bowling, he can contribute with the bat in the lower order. In the last few matches, the Mumbai cricketer has played some useful knocks for his current team Delhi Capitals.
