<p>The swashbuckling left-hander announced himself in T20 cricket after he smacked Stuart Broad for 6 sixes in an over in the ICC World T20 2007. He was India&#8217;s best batsman in the tournament and played a pivotal role in India&#8217;s triumph in the inaugural championship. Everyone looked at him as a star batsman for IPL too but somehow he didn&#8217;t replicate the similar performances in the league. He has played a few magical knocks here and there but hasn&#8217;t been consistent.</p>
<p>He has moved a lot amongst different franchises. He played for Kings XI Punjab, Pune Warriors India, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Daredevils and is currently part of Sunrisers Hyderabad&#8217;s squad. He became the costliest player ever to be picked from an auction when the Delhi side spent a whopping INR 16 crore on him. Despite all the limelights, he has just 12 half-centuries to his name in 117 matches. A class player like him could have had a better record that that and he has been far away from a ton.</p>

<p>The right-hander has played for 4 different franchises so far. Initially, he was with Mumbai Indians and then moved to Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2008-09. For the next 3 seasons, he played for Pune Warriors India but a significant change arrived in his career when he moved to Kolkata Knight Riders in 2014. For the past 3 years and the fourth running, he has been a key member of the KKR squad and won them so many matches single-handedly.</p>
<p>In 145 IPL matches, Uthappa has accounted for 3774 runs and has 22 fifties to his name. His highest score is 87 which is the closest he arrived near the three-figure mark. The 31-year-old was regularly opening the batting for KKR until last year but has moved to number 3 this season. He has been in a tremendous form this season and if he continues to play the way he has so far, he might make his way out of this list.</p>

<p>The left-hander made a name for himself when he made a sensational debut in Test cricket against Australia and scored 187 runs which included the fastest century by any player on debut. He then followed it up with excellent performances in the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 where he ended up being the leading run-getter in the tournament and played a crucial role in India&#8217;s triumph. Not only that, he has been associated with the IPL since the inception of the league.</p>
<p>He has represented Delhi Daredevils, Mumbai Indians, Deccan Chargers before becoming a prominent part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad&#8217;s side. In 123 IPL games, he has scored 3451 runs with 27 fifties. His highest score is an unbeaten 95 where he came agonizingly close to a century. But still, after close to 10 years, he doesn&#8217;t have a hundred in his record. Being an opener, he would certainly love to get to the landmark as soon as possible.</p>

<p>The ever young wicket-keeper batsman has witnessed plenty of chopping and changes in his IPL career. He has been part of 6 different franchises namely Chennai Super Kings, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians. For most of his sides, he has featured in the playing XI as an opening batsman and yet in 113 matches has just 9 half-centuries in his stats.</p>
<p>Parthiv is known for his explosive batting from the outset. He certainly possesses skills to go after the bowling from the very first over but very rarely does he carry on to make a big one. The left-hander plays quickfire cameos at the start and provides a platform for the middle-order batsmen. But whether he has the temperament to notch up a hundred, still remains to be seen.</p>
