Royal Challengers Bangalore had raised quite a few eyebrows by dropping the Australian all-rounder, Marcus Stoinis from their squad because the right-handed batsman is a proven match-winner in T20 cricket.

He has good numbers in the shortest format of the game thus; it made little sense to do away with him. Stoinis has been a part of the IPL since 2016 besides, he had a batting average of 52.75 in the previous edition.

The 30-year-old has played a lot of cricket in India which is why he may even emerge as the most expensive player of this year’s auction. If needed, the Aussie can even open the innings for the franchises. This shows that he can bring a lot of value to the squad.
