There’s no stopping Jos Buttler. The right-hander was straining in Test cricket recently, but his match-winning 75 against Pakistan quashed all the doubts over his abilities. He is currently plying his trade for England in the three-match T20I series against Australia, which the hosts are leading by 2-0. In the first two games of the series, Buttler managed to show his class and calibre.

The matches are being played at the Rose Bowl in Southampton and Buttler hasn’t flattered to deceive. In the first game, he managed 44 runs before getting out to Ashton Agar. In the second, he put his best foot forward, helping the Brits to an unassailable lead in the series. While chasing 158 runs, the hosts lost the early wicket of Jonny Bairstow to paceman Mitchell Starc.

But then Buttler stepped in, scored 77 off 54 and didn’t allow the Aussies to get a foothold back into the contest. His knock was laced with eight fours and a couple of massive sixes. It’s not much of a surprise that he’s deemed as one of England’s best white-ball cricketers. In the meantime, a fan wanted the Englishman to play for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

The supporter urged Rajasthan Royals, for whom Buttler plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL), to give the batter to RCB. The fan wrote, “I am asking you once again @rajasthanroyals, what should I do so that you give Jos Buttler to RCB?”

However, the Royals came up with a hilarious response, based on Amitabh Bachchan’s dialog from the famous quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. The franchise took to Twitter and wrote, “Aap chahe toh quit kar sakte hain (you can quit if you want).”

Buttler started his IPL career, playing for the Mumbai Indians (MI) in 2016. But from 2018 onwards after he joined the Royals, he started tasting massive success. He started batting in the middle-order. Nevertheless, once he was promoted to open the batting, the Somerset cricketer has shown what he is capable of. In 45 IPL games, Buttler has 1,386 runs with nine fifties.
