The Indian Premier League offers a plethora of opportunities to the players. Since it is a big and long tournament, players usually take some time to get into their groove and then step into the peddle. It is not possible for a player to remain in form throughout the tournament. On a given day, a player can take the game away from the opposition but on other days he may not be able to contribute anything.

Not at his best

Aaron Finch is one of the most destructive batsmen in the world at the moment. The opener is a hard-hitting batsman who can be a nightmare for the bowlers. He missed the first match for the Kings XI Punjab due to his wedding and was drafted into the side for the next game. He hasn’t had a great outing as yet in the two games that he has played. However, due to the top form of KL Rahul and Chris Gayle, the franchise has been able to get too big targets.

Fans are eager to watch Finch at his best. One fan had tweeted: “Bad start but we are confident that you will be back with a blast. Millions of fans r waiting from India @AaronFinch5” to which Finch replied: “Thanks buddy, I’m trying hard!”

The Kings XI Punjab have done quite well in the three games that they have played. KL Rahul has been in top form and is looking as good as anyone. The team has been getting good starts that have provided them will good totals. But the team cannot be over-reliant on Rahul and the likes of Finch need to step up for the team to do well in future.

The bowlers too have come to the party for the Ashwin lead side. Mujeeb Ur Rahman has been exceptional in the three games. He has given away very few runs and probably bowled the ball of the tournament to Virat Kohli. Overall, the team looks good and will be a strong contender for the title if the senior players to step up.
