Afghanistan spearhead Shapoor Zadran donates his jersey to the Shahid Afridi Foundation

Afghanistan pace Shapoor Zadran donated a jersey of his to Pakistani legend Shahid Afridi’s charity which goes by the name of Shahid Afridi Foundation. The jersey has been signed by all Afghanistan cricketers including popular bowling duo Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi.

Shahid Afridi took to his twitter handle to express his happiness and thanked Zadran, the left arm fast medium bowler. He also thanked the whole Afghanistan team including the officials for signing the jersey. His tweet read “Huge thanks to #ShahpoorZadran @ACBofficials for the beautiful gesture for @SAFoundationN.Together we are all #HopeNotOut for the needy”.

The tweet also contained a picture of the signed jersey and another photo of Shapoor Zadran, Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi posing with the jersey. The jersey will now go up for auction and the money raised will be donated to the needy by the Foundation.

About the Foundation:

The Shahid Afridi Foundation was founded by the legendary all-rounder Shahid Afridi in March 2014. Popularly known as SAF the foundation has its headquarters in Karachi, Pakistan. The foundation carries polio campaigns throughout the country with the cricketer as the ambassador. Shahid Afridi is currently playing for Hampshire in the NatWest T20 Blast in England. Hampshire currently tops the South table in the tournament after all their three games. However, Shahid Afridi did not have a good time with the willow in hand as he scored runs of 5 and 0 in the two matches he played. But he has been brilliant with the ball and also picked up a 4 wicket haul in a game.
