Match Details:

The 3rd and final game of the 3-match Unofficial ODI series between Bangladesh Emerging Team and Sri Lanka Emerging Team will be hosted by the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna.

The match starts at 9:00 AM local time (3:00 AM GMT) (8:30 AM IST).

Preview:

Bangladesh Emerging Team bounced back strongly in the unofficial ODI series against Sri Lanka Emerging team to square the 3-match series 1-1. The Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna will host the deciding final match of the series on Saturday. In the first game, the hosts were bundled out for only 118 while chasing a target of 305 and lost the match by a huge margin on 186 runs.

Sri Lanka, who elected to bat for the 2nd time in a row, made 273/10 in 49.4 overs. Fifties from Pathum Nissanka and Kamindu Mendis played a key role in pushing them to a respectable total. Skipper Nazmul Hossain Shanto (77) and Yasir Ali Chowdhury (85) added 120 for the 3rd wicket as they cruised to 184/2 in the 36th over. Despite losing wickets they finished the chase with three balls and two wickets in hand.

Weather Condition/Report:

It could be a miracle if we get a full 50-over game in Khulna on Saturday. The venue is under constant threat from the rain.  About 90% precipitation is predicted in the weather forecast on Saturday from 9 AM to 12 PM. This is enough to abandon the game if it comes true.

Pitch Condition/Report:

Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna will host a professional One-Day match for the first time in seven years. The venue has been permitted to host multi-day matches since 2013 but it did host a couple of T20s until 2016. Going through the scorecards of the past matches, the venue in Khulna might play similar to that of the KSP Ground which hosted the first two matches of this series. Scoring 280+ might not be easy here.

Vice-Captain – Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Pathum Nissanka, Charith Asalanka, Jehan Daniel

Kamindu Mendis played a good knock in the previous match. He went wicketless but was the 3rd most economical bowler in the whole game.

Expert Advice:

Bangladesh brought in Jaker Ali and Sumon Khan after losing the first game. However, this time, they might bring back Shahidul Islam as Sumon was quite expensive. Sri Lanka might also bring in a bowler as most of them conceded plenty in the previous match.

Probable Winners:

Sri Lanka Emerging Team might get a tough fight from the hosts in this series-decider.
