The Bangladesh Cricket Board are seemingly not able to conclude their coaching merry-go-round as Neil McKenzie becomes the latest player to join the coaching staff of the Bangladesh side. McKenzie who was largely successful for the South Africans as both a batsman and a coach has also some fantastic credentials to his name. It is those credentials that have ensured that he is one of the more respected cricketing folks in and around.

McKenzie will be replacing former Sri Lankan batsman Thilan Samaraweera in the post of batting consultant. It will certainly be a hard act to follow for somebody like the incoming McKenzie simply due to the fact that the Bangladeshis are on a meteoric rise in international cricket. The 42-year old will take up his role for the upcoming Test series against the Windies, something the BCB is indeed optimistic about.

“We are expecting his arrival during the upcoming Test series against West Indies,” a BCB spokesperson told Cricbuzz. “We are confident that his vast experience will help our team, and our batsmen in particular.
