Ben Stokes' smart reply to the fan is winning the internet

England and Australia are currently involved in the tussle in Brisbane at the Gabba in the first Ashes Test which is interestingly poised. The excitement of the much-awaited series was at its peak as many current and former cricketers wished their respective team well ahead of the series. The suspended England all-rounder Ben Stokes too posted a video for his teammates down under and wished them ahead of the first Ashes Test. However, a fan questioned the need for the video in reply to which Stokes responded smartly.

The 26-year-old is currently suspended by England Cricket Board (ECB) for his alleged involvement in the brawl outside the bar in Bristol. The investigation of the case is in progress which is why his name was withdrawn from the much-awaited Ashes. He was touted as a key player from the poms down under but missed out on the tour with his unnecessary actions off the field.

Point answered?

Ben Stokes posted a video message on Twitter to wish his team good luck for the first Ashes Test in Brisbane. But a random user questioned the point of him making the video and wasting the time when he could have just sent a text message to them. “Didn’t see the point of Ben Stokes making that video for his team mates Surely a text to his team mates would suffice? Bit of an attention seeking way of taking focus on himself. #nodramas,” the user tweeted.

However, Stokes was quick to respond to his question and cleared that he wanted to show to the public that he was supporting his team despite not being in Australia with them. His response read, “Heww Steve…it’s me showing the public even though I’m not there I’m supporting England and the team that I love playing for,this video was made after personal messages to the team….point answered??”

The response from the all-rounder was surely to the point and there was nothing wrong in him making a video for his team ahead of the fierce battle.
