New Zealand and Pakistan are currently involved in the three-match T20I series. The second T20I was played on Sunday at the Seddon Park in Hamilton where the hosts sealed the series with a clinical performance in the middle. However, more than the match, cameraman capturing the Jupiter and Saturn during the second innings was the talking point.

It happened in the 10th over of New Zealand’s innings when the camera person managed to get hold of the two planets in the night sky. Unfortunately, down in the middle, the planets were aligning according to the plan for Pakistan who lost their second match of the tour on the trot.

After opting to bat first, they once again lost quick wickets. Tim Southee was the wrecker-in-chief as he picked three wickets upfront to break the back of Pakistan’s line-up. However, Mohammad Hafeez, the veteran batsman, stood strong and kept going scoring vital runs for his team. He slammed timely strokes to keep the team in the hunt and ended up unbeaten on 99 off just 57 balls.

Pakistan, thanks to his assault, managed to post a competitive but below-par total of 163 runs on the board for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs.

Tim Seifert and Kane Williamson score half-centuries in the chase

The chase was pretty straightforward for New Zealand. They lost Martin Guptill early in the innings for 21 but then Kane Williamson and Tim Seifert batted superbly. The duo took some time to adjust to the conditions and then had fun in the middle scoring runs for fun. Seifert was the aggressor in the partnership as he went past the 50-run mark in the flash and then also smashed runs at a fast pace to frustrate Pakistan bowlers.

At the other end, Williamson also oozed class and delighted the crowd at the Seddon Park. He also got to his half-century celebrating the arrival of his new-born daughter. The duo took the team home in the 20th over of the innings.
