Glenn Phillips was another consistent performer with the bat in CPL 2018. The South Africa-born New Zealand wicket-keeper batsman has played 8 T20Is. However, he hasn’t had a great time and his show in the CPL this year could find him a place back in the Kiwi XI. He has got some great shots in his book and can play both the aggressor and the anchor.

He was the second leading run scorer with 457 runs in 11 innings. His average of 42 combined with a strike rate of 147 is a deadly combination to have. With the World Cup 2019 fast-approaching, there could be a chance that Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes won’t feature in all the games in IPL 2019. Glenn Phillips could be a perfect backup option of Rajasthan Royals.
