3. Aaron Finch - 55%

After winning the T20 World Cup 2021, Australia were one of the favourites to win the trophy at home. Playing in their backyard, Finch had the perfect opportunity to become the first captain ever to do so but unfortunately, the Aussies were knocked out from the Super 12 stage. Despite that, Finch finished the year being the third-most successful skipper in 2022.

In 20 matches that he led in 2022, Finch won 11 of them and lost seven. After announcing his retirement from ODI cricket, there were rumours of him retiring from the shortest format of the game. However, the opener decided against it and thus, will be in charge of the Australian team in 2023 as well.

In 20 matches he played in the calendar year, Finch smashed 512 runs at a strike rate of 119.90. Along with David Warner by his side, Finch often provides a perfect platform for the middle-order batters to capitalize. He has been an integral part of Australia’s revolution in limited-overs cricket and now holds the responsibility of keeping up the legacy.
