2. Mohammed Siraj

From the time Mohammed Siraj made his Test debut in December 2020, his stature in the international circuit has just risen and risen and the ace pacer has become an important member of India’s Test setup. He has featured in 13 matches and bagged 40 wickets at an average of 30.77.

Siraj has replicated his success in red-ball cricket to the limited-overs format and his recent bowling exploits are a proof of the same. When India clashed against New Zealand for a three-match T20I series, he picked up six wickets in two games at a superb economy of 5.12. Also, in the ongoing ODI series against the Bangla Tigers, the 28-year has bagged five scalps in two matches played so far.

With Mohammed Shami unlikely to feature in the upcoming Test series in Bangladesh, Umesh Yadav and Siraj will need to carry the mantle of India’s pace attack. The Hyderabad-born would like to carry on the good work and put on a show with the ball.
