Marcus Stoinis is known for his excellent all-round skills in the limited-over formats. A game-changer in white-ball cricket, the veteran has won a number of games for his national squad with his superb capability. In the cash-rich IPL, he has been a part of LSG since 2022, and in the upcoming season, he will be seen wearing the team’s jersey again.

In LSG’s debut season, Stoinis played 11 games and scored 156 runs at a fine strike rate of 147.16. Playing against Rajasthan Royals (RR), he showed his mettle with the bat and amassed 38 runs off just 17 balls. Chasing a target of 166, although his magnificent batting effort couldn’t win the game for Super Giants, he received appreciation from his skipper KL Rahul for taking it close.

In the league match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), he displayed his bowling potential as well. Fetching three wickets in two overs at an economy of 11.50, Stoinis contributed to his team’s thrilling victory by two runs. Defending 21 runs in the last over, he showed spunk and dismissed dangerous Rinku Singh to take his team home.
