3. Meg Lanning

Meg Lanning has been a giant player in world cricket. She has featured in 103 ODIs and amassed 4602 runs at an average of 53.51. Coming to the T20Is, the 31-year-old has racked up 3405 runs in 132 T20Is at an average of 36.61. Besides her batting might, she is one of the finest captains to have played the game and has guided Australia to four world T20 titles, an ODI World Cup, and a gold medal in the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Lanning was handed the leadership duties of Delhi Capitals and she did a brilliant job, shepherding the team to the finals of WPL 2023. The ace batter led from the front and piled on 345 runs in nine games at a strike rate of 139.11. Her staggering tally of runs was the most by a batter in the marquee tournament.

When Delhi faced the Bangalore franchise, Lanning was in her element and put up a show with the bat. She hammered 72 runs off 43 deliveries and helped her team post a daunting total of 223 runs on the board. The Australian batter also displayed her class in the encounter against UP Warriorz in the fifth game of the T20 carnival and smashed 70 runs off 42 balls.
