Gayle praised Kohli as exceptionally unique and enduringly strong. He highlighted Kohli's potential to continue excelling across all formats for many more years and expressed curiosity about the decisions Kohli will make for himself and Indian cricket in the future.

“Very unique, the one and only Virat Kohli is still going and still going very strong. Still got a lot of years left in him to play all formats. We'll see what calls he makes for himself and for Indian cricket as well,” Gayle told Cricbuzz.

Despite concerns over workload management, Kohli's fitness and determination remain unquestionable. With only two T20Is under his belt since the T20 World Cup in 2022, speculations about his place in the side have been rife. However, Gayle believes Kohli has repeatedly proven his mettle across all formats, showcasing his lethal batting prowess time and again.

I don't even have the words to describe them: Gayle

Gayle lauded Kohli's extraordinary career, highlighting his admiration by noting that Kohli, alongside Sachin Tendulkar, stands as one of the only two players to have scored over 50 centuries in One Day Internationals (ODIs). Gayle expressed his awe, admitting he lacked adequate words to describe their achievements, and considered it a privilege to be mentioned alongside such cricketing legends.

"Sachin and Virat, the only two guys with over 50 ODI centuries. I don't even have the words to describe them. And to be put in the same category as them is special."

"Sachin was the original trend-setter, with over 100 international centuries, which is remarkable as well. And like you said, the Universe Boss has brought entertainment and spice for all formats," he added.

Kohli's upcoming stint in IPL 2024 holds significant importance, especially as he looks forward to leading Royal Challengers Bengaluru to their maiden title victory. With an impressive record of 7263 runs in 237 IPL matches, Kohli is already a titan in IPL history. As RCB prepares to face Chennai Super Kings in their season opener on March 22, anticipation runs high regarding Kohli's role in the team, particularly in light of the impending T20 World Cup.
