Royal Challengers Bengaluru have not had a great start to their Indian Premier League 2024 campaign. They lost the inaugural match against Chennai Super Kings and the latest loss against Kolkata Knight Riders at home has pushed them to ninth position on the points table. But, Virat Kohli has been the standout performer for the team as he also holds the Orange Cap currently.
It is an undeniable fact that Kohli has become the force that drives RCB and fans alike. The star player provides an ample amount of brand value to the franchise both on and off the field. His teammate, Glenn Maxwell has provided an insight into the former RCB captain's impact in the dressing room and his contribution to the team environment.
"He is like a kid in the field. It is so funny watching him bounce around. I have to sort of remind him to act his age every now and then because he is making me look bad as we are from the same age group. It is not going well if I am telling you that," said as quoted by Times of India.

"He has been brilliant coming back into the group, and you can see him bounce around. He is pretty excited to be around the RCB boys and just be around the guys, playing well again, running around the field," he added.

Kohli seems to be in great space of mind coming into the 17th season of IPL. His outing against CSK was well below his standards but he compensated for it in the subsequent games. He has amassed 203 runs in four games so far. Moreover, he boasts an impressive average of 67.67. He is seen opening the innings for RCB alongside skipper Faf du Plessis, the tactic that had worked for them previously.
