Punjab Kings (PBKS) will lock horns with Delhi Capitals (DC) in Match 2 of the 17 edition of the  IPL 2024 on a doubleheader Super Saturday, March 23, at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, at Mullanpur, in Chandigarh. Notably, PBKS have changed their home ground for the upcoming season. It will be interesting to see whether the new home ground can change fortunes for the side.

Speaking about PBKS, Shikhar Dhawan will continue the captaincy role in the competition as he looks to end the trophy drought for the franchise. The Kings have never lifted the coveted trophy with their best season coming in 2014, when they reached the summit clash only to lose to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). PBKS have failed to reach the playoffs in the last nine consecutive seasons and would want to break that jinx in IPL 2024.

On the other hand, Capitals also have never lifted the coveted trophy with their best season coming in 2020 when they reached the summit clash only to lose to MI. DC also have failed to reach the playoffs in the last two consecutive seasons and would want to break the jinx in IPL 2024. Speaking about the players, PBKS brought in Harshal Patel which will help their death bowling concerns. The addition of Rishabh Pant who missed the last IPL season because of an accident has given an extra balance to the DC Squad.
