The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Pakistan women’s all-rounder Kainat Imtiaz was delighted to be enjoying in the winters. Indian women’s cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy asked her fans some questions. Smriti Mandhana, the Indian women’s batter, is determined to make the month of December a memorable one. She recently was a part of the Trailblazers team, which won the 2020 edition of the Women’s T20 Challenge. Mandhana impressed in one of the matches scoring a handy half-century.
In the meantime, the third T20I between India and Australia took place at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground. After India chose to bowl first, the Aussies managed to hammer 186 for five in their 20 overs. Matthew Wade played another decent knock at the top, scoring 80 runs. He got the apt support from Glenn Maxwell, who scored 54 runs off 36 balls with the help of three fours and as many sixes.
In the run-chase, Virat Kohli scored 85 from 61 balls with the help of four fours and three massive hits into the stands. But once Andre Tye got rid of the big fish in the penultimate over, the game was all over bar the shouting. Australia Test skipper Tim Paine celebrated his birthday and on the auspicious occasion, his wife Bon Paine posted some adorable pictures with him.
