Cricketing Trends on Social Media today

The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Most of the talks were regarding India’s 227-run loss to England in the first Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, also known as Chepauk. In the fourth innings, the home team was chasing 420 runs, but due to loss of wickets on a consistent basis, Virat Kohli and Co could never recover and in the end, they gave up the ghost.

Kohli scored 72 runs off 104 balls with nine fours, but his efforts went in vain. Shubman Gill didn’t flatter to deceive either as he notched 50 runs off 83 balls before being castled by James Anderson. The next highest score in India’s second innings was of Cheteshwar Pujara, who scored 15. Anderson picked up two late wickets in the first innings, but in the second, he was at his very best, without a shred of a doubt.

He picked up three wickets, conceding only 17 runs in the 11 overs he bowled. James Vince expressed gratitude to the Sydney Sixers, who won the 2020-21 edition of the Big Bash League.
