Cricketing trends on social media today

Needless to say, the biggest trends on social media on 10th April 2021 revolved around the biggest sporting festival in India, also called the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) side beat the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the inaugural match of IPL 2021, and Washington Sundar is excited with Bangalore’s victory.

Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Hemang Badani wonders whether the year 2021 will see the redemption of three-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Rohit Sharma’s shoes grabbed the attention in the first match of the IPL. The ‘Hitman’ was seen wearing shoes with the words “Save the Rhino” printed on them.

Today also marks the 31st birthday of Pakistan opening batsman Fakhar Zaman, and a number of Pakistan cricketers ranging from Wahab Riaz to Haris Rauf have wished Zaman on his special day.
