The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. The second day of the second Test between India and England took place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. On the second day, the pitch turned out to be a delight for the spinners. India got all-out for 329 runs in their first innings. Rishabh Pant went on to stay not out on 58. He also got support from Ajinkya Rahane, who scored in the 60s.

Thereafter, India shot the Three Lions out for 134 in their first innings. Joe Root, who scored a double ton in the opening Test, couldn’t cross single digits. He perished to Axar Patel when he went for a sweep shot. Only Ben Foakes showed some amount of grit, as he scored 42 runs and even went on to stay unbeaten. For India, Ravi Ashwin was the standout performer without a doubt.

He picked up five wickets and was showered with praises from every nook and corner of the nation. In the meantime, the 2021 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to get underway in a few days and players are starting to reach Karachi for the tournament.
