Here is how the cricketing fraternity spent their day on Twitter and Instagram today.

The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of incidents. India and South Africa are scheduled to lock horns in a three-match T20I series. The opening game is set to take place at Himachal Pradesh’s HPCA Stadium. Prior to the game, Washington Sundar, the Tamil Nadu all-rounder, posted a picture where he was seen, playing chess. Indian head coach Ravi Shastri and skipper Virat Kohli had a conversation with presenter Ravi Shastri, who posted a few pictures from the chat.

Tabraiz Shamsi, the Proteas spinner, is preparing hard for the fixtures. He uploaded a few pictures from the practice sessions. Jasprit Bumrah shared a picture and highlighted the importance of working hard. At the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, India won the U19 Asia Cup in Sri Lanka. The team, captained by Dhruv Jurel, won by a margin of five runs, after getting bowled out for a score just above 100. Suryakumar Yadav turned 29 years old and the Mumbai batsman was showered with wishes.

The likes of Mitchell McClenaghan and Sachin Tendulkar wished him on the auspicious occasion. Both McClenaghan and Tendulkar have been associated with Mumbai Indians (MI) for whom Yadav plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Lankan all-rounder posted a video with his loved one. Bengal cricketer Manoj Tiwary is back to bowling leg-spin after honing his skills in off-break bowling for a period. Pakistan cricketer Wahab Riaz plied his trade as a commentator. Irfan Pathan is ready for the next cricket season.
