The cricketing trends on the social media mostly revolved around the fourth day’s play between England and India at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton. India are chasing 245 runs in the fourth innings and fast-bowler Stuart Broad dismissed KL Rahul early and Nick Compton reckons that the fast bowler was hungry for wickets. He was also impressed by Sam Curran’s gutsy knock of 46 runs in 83 balls in the second innings.
The visiting team lost a couple of early wickets in quick succession and Michael Vaughan came up with a cheeky message. VVS Laxman feels that chasing a target in the fourth innings won’t be a walk in the park. Sachin Tendulkar expressed his happiness after India won 69 medals in the Asian Games. Zimbabwean cricketer Sean Ervine announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.
Hardik Pandya and Mohammed Shami wished Ishant Sharma on his 30th birthday. English women’s cricketer Danielle Wyatt posted her stylish picture. Mohammad Kaif lauds Mohammed Siraj for notching a five-wicket haul against Australia ‘A’ in the unofficial Test match in Bangalore. South African speedster Dale Steyn believes that some partnership can be frustrating in Test cricket.
