The cricketing trends on the social media revolved mostly around the auspicious occasion of Holi and the cash-rich and prestigious Indian Premier League (IPL), scheduled to get underway on Saturday, March 23. As far as Holi is concerned, most of the cricketers celebrated the day with their families and friends and also posted some heartfelt pictures. The likes of Irfan Pathan, Sandeep Lamichhane and Rashid Khan wished everyone.

Gautam Gambhir, the former Indian cricketer, posted an adorable picture where he can be seen playing Holi with two of his daughters in Anaiza and Aazeen. In the meantime, Mitchell McClenaghan is all geared up to play in the upcoming IPL for the Mumbai Indians (MI), the three-time IPL winners. Rohit Sharma, the MI captain, posted a picture along with teammates Kieron Pollard, Yuvraj Singh, and Hardik Pandya.

Vijay Shankar was earlier traded by Delhi Capitals, then Daredevils and the cricketer would be playing next for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, a franchise he has earlier played for. The Tamil Nadu-born all-rounder is all in readiness to take part in the T20 tournament.

Virat Kohli, the captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), posted a picture with his mates on the team bus where the team is travelling to Chennai for the opening game against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Chepauk. Jasprit Bumrah seems to be fired up for representing Mumbai in the IPL.
