Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Nagpur to host India v South Africa Test matches: Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Nagpur are the four venues that will be hosting the India vs South Africa series, scheduled to take place through October and November, 2015. The appropriate venues were named by the BCCI’s tours and fixtures committee on Sunday. The Proteas will be playing four tests, five ODI’s and three T20 internationals on their tour to India.
The 5 ODI matches will be held in Chennai, Kanpur, MPCA, Rajkot and Mumbai. The venues for the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association(MPCA) hasn’t been specified yet and either Indore or Gwalior will host the match to be held in the state.
The tests will be played in Ahmedabad, Delhi, Nagpur and Bengaluru respectively. While the T20Is will be held at Kolkatta, Mohali and Dharamshala. It’s been a while since the South Africans have toured India so it promises to be a mouth watering contest with two evenly matched sides battling it out.
This is looked at as the biggest series for India towards the latter half of the year. The team will also aim to balance out accounts with the Proteas, as they were beaten comprehensively by SA in December 2014, which was the last time that the two teams met in a bilateral series played in South Africa.
5 ODIs will make it an even contest as both the teams are equatable in 50 over’s cricket. Despite of this being a home series, India might well find the visitors a bit too hot in the longest format as they are the reining champions in Test Cricket. While the 2 T20Is will continue to be uncertain and can be anybodies game.
