England will host India to finish off the pending five-match Test series that started last year in England, and complete the rescheduled fifth and final Test of the series. India played four games last year before the fifth game was postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak in their camp. Since then, a lot many developments have taken place in the two teams respectively.

England are coming off a massive series win against the World Test Champions New Zealand as they whitewashed the Kane Williamson-led side 3-0. The English team has shown great potential under the new skipper Ben Stokes and the new head coach Brendon McCullum and they will now look to carry their momentum in the upcoming match against India.

India, on the other hand, are leading the series by a margin of 2-1 and they will need to either win the Test or draw it to clinch the series. Meanwhile, the Rohit Sharma-led side is going through a tense situation ever since the skipper tested positive for the virus. With no stand-in captain named so far, Sharma is expected to recover and return to his role.
