Sanju Samson was one of the most successful youngsters in the IPL over the last two seasons and was retained by Rajasthan Royals ahead of the 2014 auctions. A lot was hyped of him and he was also touted to replace MS Dhoni as India’s wicket keeper. Since the start of the 2015 IPL, Samson has managed to score only 68 runs in the seven innings he played for the Royals. He was made to open the innings in the absence of Shane Watson and was also asked to bat in the middle order when the Aussie came back. But in both the positions, Samson failed to do well and looks completely off-colour in the tournament.
