The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly is a busy administrator. Ever since taking over the top post in October, the former India captain has been trying to be more innovative in his approach. However, the cricketer-turned-administrator tweeted on Sunday saying he hates working on the day and the fans came up with reactions in no time.

The fact that Ganguly, 47, shared a picture of himself wearing casuals and standing in a park along with the tweet made it even more interesting for the fans. While some asked the popular individual to take some time out and rest, few asked what he was doing in a park on a Sunday. One fan even advised Ganguly to pretend to work on a Sunday.

Here’s his tweet:

Sourav Ganguly implemented the idea of day-night Test soon after coming to the office and despite the initial reservations, Virat Kohli’s team took part in its maiden pink-ball Test against Bangladesh in Kolkata last month. It was a runaway success and Ganguly recently said that Mumbai, Bangalore and Gujarat have been picked as the next set of venues for day-night Tests.

He has also come up with the idea of a four-nation Super Series featuring India, England, Australia and another top team though it has received both applause and criticism. While some felt it will improve the quality of cricket among the top nations, others felt it would be discriminatory for the game’s overall health. Both the England and Wales Cricket Board and Cricket Australia have expressed their openness towards the idea.

Ganguly also courted controversy recently when he downplayed a political opinion expressed by his teenage daughter Sana on the social media. Meanwhile, the 47-year-old was trolled for his Sunday tweet as the fans came up with some hilarious reactions. No wonder, he is a busy man, but the netizens just need an opportunity to have some fun and they did.
