IND v AUS: Hyderabad T20I tickets to go on sale from September 30

The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) recently announced that the sale of tickets for the upcoming India v Australia T20I to be held in Hyderabad will commence on September 30. T Seshnarayan, the secretary of the HCA, mentioned that the ticket sale would start at 11:00 am on the day. The match is scheduled to be played on October 13 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium at Hyderabad.
The stadium boasts of a capacity of as many as 39962 seats. As per the quotes in Sportstarlive.com, the HCA secretary announced that for the first time in the history of the venue, no complimentary tickets will be issued for the Eastern and Western stands. The denomination for the tickets will start from INR 800. Also, the the pricing for the other stands have been fixed. The reports suggest that the prices for the various stands are as follows:
Rs. 1000. East and West Ground Floor – Rs. 1500. South First Floor – Rs. 5000. North Ground Floor – Rs. 7500. South Ground Floor, North Corporate Boxes – Rs. 12,500. South Corporate Boxes – Rs. 20,000 per ticket.
The official noted that the complimentary ticket holders have been requested to contribute some amount towards the development of Telangana cricket. Also, they are keeping a strict eye on the piracy issues. All efforts are being taken to avoid black marketing of the tickets at the Hyderabad venue.
“All the complimentary ticket holders including the HCA officials are requested to donate Rs 2000 each towards Telangana Cricket Development Fund. This is not mandatory but a request. We will ensure that the vendors will not charge more than what is the marked price and the HCA volunteers will address any grievances in this regard immediately. The HCA will provide free drinking water facility for all the spectators in the stands,” the HCA official quoted.
Funds not a problem
The HCA official further conceded that there are no concerns regarding the funds needed to host the international fixture. He mentioned that the BCCI has allocated INR 1.5 crores to organize the game. This has been perfectly utilized to clear all the dues for the match officials and the ground staff who would be working for the match.
“Funds should not be an issue to host this match as we got about Rs 1.35 crores from the BCCI a few days ago which is essentially which the HCA has to get from the former and the priority will be given to clear off the dues to the players, umpires and also to the groundstaff,” Mr. Seshnarayan conceded.
