While the Indian top order is inching towards a remarkable record in first-class cricket ace spinner Ravichandran Ashwin also aims for yet another feat in Test cricket.
Here we look at all the approaching milestones of the players ahead of the India v Sri Lanka Test series.
93 – Number of wickets in Test cricket for Dilruwan Perera. He needs another seven wickets to become the 6th Sri Lankan to pick 100 Test wickets.
94 – Umesh Yadav has picked 94 wickets in Test cricket so far. He needs another six wickets to become the 21st Indian to pick 100 Test wickets.
292 – Number of wickets Ravichandran Ashwin has in Test cricket. He needs another eight wickets to become the 5th Indian to attain 300 Test wickets. If Ashwin completes the milestone in his next three Tests, he will become the quickest to reach 300 wickets in this format.
1822 – Shikhar Dhawan has 1822 runs in Test cricket so far. He needs another 178 runs to complete 2000 Test runs. Dhawan also scored 7845 runs in his first-class career and needs 155 more to complete 8000 FC runs milestone.
2809 – Ajinkya Rahane has scored 2809 Test runs so far. He needs another 191 runs to complete 3000 runs in Test cricket. Rahane has 8720 first-class runs and is 280 runs to complete 9000 FC runs.
2930 – Runs Dinesh Chandimal has scored in Test cricket. He needs 70 more runs to become the 13th Sri Lankan with 3000 runs in this format.
4942 – Runs KL Rahul has scored in first-class cricket so far. The Indian opener needs another 58 runs to complete 5000 FC runs.
6907 – Virat Kohli has scored 6907 runs in his first-class career so far. The Indian captain needs another 93 runs to complete 7000 FC runs.
12927 – Runs Cheteshwar Pujara aggregates in first-class cricket. Pujara needs another 73 runs to complete 13000 FC runs.
