The dynamic English all-rounder Ben Stokes is having the time of his life. He has been in fine form in the recent times. The Rising Pune Supergiant roped in his services for a whopping INR 14.5 crore making him the most expensive player at the auctions. Now, the all-rounder is keen on proving his mettle in the most popular T20 league in the world.

At the RPS camp, Ben Stokes will be sharing the dressing room with the likes of world class players like MS Dhoni, Faf du Plessis and Steve Smith. He surely is very excited about the opportunity. As per the recent quotes in the Indian Express, the all-rounder expressed his desire to pick up the brains of former Indian skipper MS Dhoni.

Dhoni has arguably been one of the most successful modern day captains and a rock solid finisher for the teams he has played for. Stokes was all praise for the Indian master and said he feels great to share the dressing room with Dhoni.

He quoted, “He  is one of the best finishers in the world and it will be great to share the dressing room with him. It is a roled that I get myself into and I would love to pick his brains as he has been successful in doing that.”

Talking about the tournament, he said that the league is one of its kind. He believes that the IPL is a platform where one gets the opportunity to play with the best players in the world.

“It is a different kind of exposure. It is a high profile competition where you can get to play with the best players. I will get to share dressing room with the best players in the world and try to learn a lot,” quoted Ben Stokes.

There has been a lot of talk about the high price that Stokes has in the tournament. However, the all-rounder wishes to perform irrespective of what price tag he has.

He quoted, “Regardless of the price tag I will be looking to perform as well as I can. I always look to perform with the bat and the ball and do good for my team,” he conceded.
