The 10th edition of the Indian Premier League is going at a great flow. IPL 10 has already garnered a record viewership coming into the third week of the tournament. The first two weeks saw some exciting games and closely fought thrillers at the display. The big names like Virat Kohli returned to the fore in the second week and that has only added to the glitz of the season.

Young players like Rishabh Pant and Rashid Khan have put forth some exciting brand of cricket. The second week also saw the first century of the season. Delhi Daredevils batsman Sanju Samson smashed a match-winning 102 against the Rising Pune Supergiant. Also, the Gujarat Lions found a solution to their bowling woes this season.

Australian all-rounder Andrew Tye made his IPL debut this season and scalped the first five-wicket of IPL 2017. He scalped 5/17 against the Rising Pune Supergiant. While there have been some big stars being the part of the tournament action in the past week, there were few big names who did not get a game to their name. Swashbuckling West Indies batsman Lendl Simmons has been warming the bench for Mumbai Indians. Simmons, who has an IPL century to his name, should have been in the playing eleven riding on his previous knocks in the tournament history. He was one of the key performers for the Mumbai Indians in the 2015 edition of the tournament when the MI camp had lifted the trophy for the second time.

In the 22 matches that he has played, he has scored 942 runs. For the moment, the Mumbai camp is riding high with Jos Buttler settling in the role of the opener. Hence, it is unlikely to see Simmons being drafted to the team sometime soon.

Hard-hitting New Zealand batsman Martin Guptill looked like a certain starter in the Kings XI Punjab lineup before the start of the tournament. However, Guptill has not quite got his chances in the season thus far. He is one of the cleanest strikers of the cricket ball. On his day, the Kiwi opener is capable of taking on any quality bowling lineup. Despite this fact, he has not been able to make it to the KXIP lineup.

Guptill had hit first taste of the IPL last year. He went unsold at the auctions but was later drafted in the Mumbai Indians squad as a replacement player. He had an average season for the MI camp last year. This year, he was roped in by the Kings at the auctions. It will be interesting to see whether he gets a look in the days to follow.

Veteran domestic batsman Saurabh Tiwary was back to the Mumbai Indians roster this season. The senior member of the Jharkhand cricket team has not got a match to his name. This can largely be accredited to the fact that the team has a strong middle order with Rohit Sharma and Nitish Rana firing in with all cylinders.

Tiwary had made a brilliant start to his IPL career with the same Mumbai franchise. As the years passes by, his fortunes started to dwindle in the IPL. Rishi Dhawan is often regarded as one of the most promising young players in the Indian domestic circuit. He had a decent season in the domestic circuit for Himachal Pradesh. Dhawan was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders in the auction for INR 55 Lakh.

Prior to his stint with the KKR, Rishi Dhawan has been on the IPL roster for the Mumbai Indians and the Kings XI Punjab. He has played 26 IPL matches thus far for his total of 153 runs. He has picked up 18 wickets with the ball as well. Certainly the numbers in the IPL scoresheets do not speak much about his talent, he is surely a big name missing out from the list.

The Kings XI Punjab all-rounder Gurkeerat Singh Mann is best renowned for an acrobatic catcht that he had taken on the boundary ropes in the IPL season a couple of years ago. Since then, he had grown in stature as a batsman. Mann made it to the Indian team as well after having performed well for the KXIP team and also in the domestic circuit. Now, he sees himself being benched from the lineup this season.

There was a time when he was an automatic inclusion as the all-rounder in the team. In the 28 matches that he has played in the IPL thus far, he has 342 runs to his name and has a fifty to boast about. He can be handy bowler too as he is capable of rolling his arm over for a few off-spinners in the match.

James Faulkner is a renowned T20 specialist in the world of cricket. However, he is yet to play a match this season. Faulkner is with the Gujarat Lions since the last season. He has played a few matches for the Lions last year but had failed to impress with the bat or ball. The Lions this year have more or less focused on their batting might when it has come to the overseas combination.

This is the reason why he has not got his chances yet. However, the kind of struggling form that the team is having, expect Faulkner to be drafted in the side sometime soon. In the 52 matches that he has played thus far in the tournament history, he has scored 473 runs to his name and 52 wickets to his name. Delhi Daredevils roped in the services of ace South African bowler Kagiso Rabada this year at the auctions. They shelled out the big bucks at the auction for him. However, they have not given him a go in the tournament just yet. The Delhi camp boasts of some serious star players in the bowling department. This is the only reason why a bowler of Rabada&#8217;s calibre is sitting in the dugouts.

Rabada has been a revelation in the international cricket circuit. Along with Mustafizur Rahman, he is being tipped as the next big thing in the world cricket. It is the presence of the likes of Zaheer Khan, Pat Cummins and Mohammad Shami that is seeing him wait in the bench strength.

Mohammad Shami has been India&#8217;s premier pace bowler for the last year or so. He had a big injury lay off in the recent times and that was reason he was not drafted in the playing straightaway in the tournament. However, he was deemed fit for selection. The Delhi camp wanted to go forward with a settled bowling unit with two pacers and two spinners.

Skipper Zaheer Khan had to play and the form of Pat Cummins helped him stay in the lineup. Hence, with no vacancy left, Shami had to warm the bench in the second week of IPL 10. Shami has not had a very high profile IPL career but is a valuable player for the team that he plays for.

Harshal Patel has been with the Royal Challengers Bangalore since the 2012 edition of the IPL. Considering the amoung of time the pacer has been with the team, he can surely be called a veteran in his own might. Harshal has had his fair share of matches in the tournament thus far.

He has played 35 matches for the team and has scalped 31 wickets with an average under 30. He can slog the ball in the death overs too and is a renowned hitter in the domestic circuit. Last year, he had played only 5 matches for the team and got a solitary wicket. This is the sole reason why the team has been hesitant in drafting him in the lineup.

Pravin Tambe is of the most popular IPL success stories. The leg spinner became the oldest player to play the IPL when he had turned up for the Rajasthan Royals in the 2013 edition of the tournament. Tambe was a regular face of the Rajasthan lineup. He was with the Gujarat Lions in the last season of the tournament.

This year, he has been bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, he has failed to make it to the starting eleven. This is largely due to the fact that the team is reaping rich dividends with another leggie in Rashid Khan. Tambe has played 33 matches in his IPL career and has bagged 28 wickets.

Harshal Patel has been with the Royal Challengers Bangalore since the 2012 edition of the IPL. Considering the amoung of time the pacer has been with the team, he can surely be called a veteran in his own might. Harshal has had his fair share of matches in the tournament thus far.
He has played 35 matches for the team and has scalped 31 wickets with an average under 30. He can slog the ball in the death overs too and is a renowned hitter in the domestic circuit. Last year, he had played only 5 matches for the team and got a solitary wicket. This is the sole reason why the team has been hesitant in drafting him in the lineup.

Pravin Tambe is of the most popular IPL success stories. The leg spinner became the oldest player to play the IPL when he had turned up for the Rajasthan Royals in the 2013 edition of the tournament. Tambe was a regular face of the Rajasthan lineup. He was with the Gujarat Lions in the last season of the tournament.
This year, he has been bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, he has failed to make it to the starting eleven. This is largely due to the fact that the team is reaping rich dividends with another leggie in Rashid Khan. Tambe has played 33 matches in his IPL career and has bagged 28 wickets.

Karn Sharma is one of the veteran spinners in the Indian domestic circuit. He has been a top bowler in the domestic front for quite some time now. The leggie has been a part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad for the 2014 and the 2015 editions. This year, the Mumbai Indians shelled out INR 3.2 crore to rope in his services.
However, they have not given him a go in the tournament thus far. Harbhajan Singh and Krunal Pandya are the chosen spinners in the line up and hence Karn seems to have a long waiting for him. In the 47 matches that he has played, he has picked up 36 wickets and has best figures of 4/38 to his name in the tournament.

The 10th edition of the Indian Premier League is going at a great flow. IPL 10 has already garnered a record viewership coming into the third week of the tournament. The first two weeks saw some exciting games and closely fought thrillers at the display. The big names like Virat Kohli returned to the fore in the second week and that has only added to the glitz of the season.
Young players like Rishabh Pant and Rashid Khan have put forth some exciting brand of cricket. The second week also saw the first century of the season. Delhi Daredevils batsman Sanju Samson smashed a match-winning 102 against the Rising Pune Supergiant. Also, the Gujarat Lions found a solution to their bowling woes this season.
Australian all-rounder Andrew Tye made his IPL debut this season and scalped the first five-wicket of IPL 2017. He scalped 5/17 against the Rising Pune Supergiant. While there have been some big stars being the part of the tournament action in the past week, there were few big names who did not get a game to their name. Swashbuckling West Indies batsman Lendl Simmons has been warming the bench for Mumbai Indians. Simmons, who has an IPL century to his name, should have been in the playing eleven riding on his previous knocks in the tournament history. He was one of the key performers for the Mumbai Indians in the 2015 edition of the tournament when the MI camp had lifted the trophy for the second time.
In the 22 matches that he has played, he has scored 942 runs. For the moment, the Mumbai camp is riding high with Jos Buttler settling in the role of the opener. Hence, it is unlikely to see Simmons being drafted to the team sometime soon.
Martin Guptill

Hard-hitting New Zealand batsman Martin Guptill looked like a certain starter in the Kings XI Punjab lineup before the start of the tournament. However, Guptill has not quite got his chances in the season thus far. He is one of the cleanest strikers of the cricket ball. On his day, the Kiwi opener is capable of taking on any quality bowling lineup. Despite this fact, he has not been able to make it to the KXIP lineup.
Guptill had hit first taste of the IPL last year. He went unsold at the auctions but was later drafted in the Mumbai Indians squad as a replacement player. He had an average season for the MI camp last year. This year, he was roped in by the Kings at the auctions. It will be interesting to see whether he gets a look in the days to follow.

Veteran domestic batsman Saurabh Tiwary was back to the Mumbai Indians roster this season. The senior member of the Jharkhand cricket team has not got a match to his name. This can largely be accredited to the fact that the team has a strong middle order with Rohit Sharma and Nitish Rana firing in with all cylinders.
Tiwary had made a brilliant start to his IPL career with the same Mumbai franchise. As the years passes by, his fortunes started to dwindle in the IPL. He was with the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rising Pune Supergiant for a brief while but did not get his due share of chances. In the 80 matches that he has played in the IPL, he has 1224 runs to his name at an average over 27.
Rishi Dhawan

Rishi Dhawan is often regarded as one of the most promising young players in the Indian domestic circuit. He had a decent season in the domestic circuit for Himachal Pradesh. Dhawan was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders in the auction for INR 55 Lakh.
Prior to his stint with the KKR, Rishi Dhawan has been on the IPL roster for the Mumbai Indians and the Kings XI Punjab. He has played 26 IPL matches thus far for his total of 153 runs. He has picked up 18 wickets with the ball as well. Certainly the numbers in the IPL scoresheets do not speak much about his talent, he is surely a big name missing out from the list.

The Kings XI Punjab all-rounder Gurkeerat Singh Mann is best renowned for an acrobatic catcht that he had taken on the boundary ropes in the IPL season a couple of years ago. Since then, he had grown in stature as a batsman. Mann made it to the Indian team as well after having performed well for the KXIP team and also in the domestic circuit. Now, he sees himself being benched from the lineup this season.
There was a time when he was an automatic inclusion as the all-rounder in the team. In the 28 matches that he has played in the IPL thus far, he has 342 runs to his name and has a fifty to boast about. He can be handy bowler too as he is capable of rolling his arm over for a few off-spinners in the match.

James Faulkner is a renowned T20 specialist in the world of cricket. However, he is yet to play a match this season. Faulkner is with the Gujarat Lions since the last season. He has played a few matches for the Lions last year but had failed to impress with the bat or ball. The Lions this year have more or less focused on their batting might when it has come to the overseas combination.
This is the reason why he has not got his chances yet. However, the kind of struggling form that the team is having, expect Faulkner to be drafted in the side sometime soon. In the 52 matches that he has played thus far in the tournament history, he has scored 473 runs to his name and 52 wickets to his name. He has two five wicket hauls as well that he had taken for the Rajasthan Royals.

Delhi Daredevils roped in the services of ace South African bowler Kagiso Rabada this year at the auctions. They shelled out the big bucks at the auction for him. However, they have not given him a go in the tournament just yet. The Delhi camp boasts of some serious star players in the bowling department. This is the only reason why a bowler of Rabada&#8217;s calibre is sitting in the dugouts.
Rabada has been a revelation in the international cricket circuit. Along with Mustafizur Rahman, he is being tipped as the next big thing in the world cricket. It is the presence of the likes of Zaheer Khan, Pat Cummins and Mohammad Shami that is seeing him wait in the bench strength.
