Kolkata Knight Riders moved to the top of the table with a convincing win over the home side Rising Pune Supergiant at the MCA Stadium in Pune. The KKR spinners got hold of RPS’ middle overs after their captain elected to field first.

With a combined team effort and late striking, the Pune team finished at 182/5 and did start their total defence very well before Robin Uthappa’s catch was dropped in the outfield. After the life Uthappa, along with Gambhir didn’t look back as they added 158 runs in just 85 balls for the 2nd wicket and made the chase a cakewalk for them.
