Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have qualified for the playoffs already with some scintillating performances from their players and are sitting pretty at the top of the table. While all their players have found form at some point during the tournament, only Manish Pandey is going through tough times. He has been a huge disappointment for them with the bat after the franchise had bagged his services for a whopping amount of Rs 11 Crore in the auction. However, he is being criticised from all the corners of the cricketing world over his consistently poor show.

Pandey has scored only 189 runs in 10 outings with the bat this season with only a couple of half-centuries. Despite being backed by the coach and the captain, he has failed to repay the faith shown in him. Moreover, he has also dropped a few catches in the field, the latest being of MS Dhoni on Sunday against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) which could’ve changed the complexion of the game. As things stand now, SRH will be worried only about him going into the playoffs.

Pandey’s Insta Story

Manish Pandey is being widely criticised for his poor show in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for failing to justify his price tag. His team, however, realises that he is too good a player to be dropped. On Monday, after copping severe criticism for dropping a sitter, Pandey took to Instagram and updated his story in which he had posted the image of him and Alex Hales who had a Tennis racket in his hand.

He captioned the image symbolising his response to all the critics who are demanding him to be dropped from the team ahead of the playoff matches. “Every hater at the moment…IDGAF,” his story read. Interestingly, IDGAF means ‘I don’t give a f**k’. However, he soon deleted his story as well but many of the cricket fans must have seen it already and surely it must not have gone down well with them. SRH will play their next game against RCB on Thursday at the Chinnaswamy Stadium and Manish will look to resurrect his season soon.
