Primarily a left-arm pacer who can hit those big shots down the order, Ben Dwarshuis had a dream debut IPL auction in 2018 when he ignited a bidding war between the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and was eventually claimed by the former franchise for a price of INR 1.4 crores as compared to his base price of INR 20 lakhs.

However, Dwarshuis had to face disappointment come the actual proceedings of the tournament as he had to sit in the dugout for the entire run of the 2018 edition of the IPL. The 23-year-old has emerged as a promising talent in the Big Bash League, where he’s been a part of the Sydney Thunders since 2014 and was the second highest wicket-taker for the side in BBL 06 with 13 wickets in 10 games.
