As it stands, the teams have been formed now and all the owners looked pretty satisfied with the players they bought.

Ben Stokes was the most expensive player as he attracted a lot of bidders despite clouds over his availability. Though there was a proud moment for Jaydev Unadkat who went for a whopping Rs. 11.5 Crore to Rajasthan Royals almost 11 times more than his base price which was a mere Rs. 50 Lakhs. Though there were a few steal deals for the teams as they were thrilled after buying a player they desired to for a low price than they expected.

Faf du Plessis was one of the marquee players in the auction and his base price was Rs. 1.5 Crore. Surprisingly, not many franchises looked interested for him as there was hardly a couple of biddings for him. <strong>Chennai Super Kings</strong> were aware of the happenings and didn&#8217;t miss out on using Right to Match (RTM) card for him quickly. Given the stature of the cricketer, it was surely a steal deal for them as the South African skipper is also a brilliant batsman in the shortest format of the game.

Du Plessis is a decent bet in the middle-order as he can play according to the requirements of the team. He has so far featured in 172 T20 matches scoring 3855 runs at a strike rate of 124.31 to go with a solitary century and 20 half-centuries. His IPL stats are even better as his strike-rate goes up to 127.96 and his average also touches 30 which proves that he is at ease scoring runs in India which will surely benefit CSK in the upcoming season.

Delhi Daredevils ran away with one of the best T20 batsmen going around in the world cricket. Colin Munro surely has the credentials to win the game single-handedly for his team if he starts middling everything. He is the only batsmen to have scored three centuries in T20 Internationals and also smashed a ton in his recent tour to India. None of the franchises seemed to show much interest in the Kiwi player and Delhi stole him at a decent amount.

Mohammad Nabi, the all-rounder from Afghanistan, was bought back by Sunrisers Hyderabad during the auction for just Rs. 1 Crore. Surely, the veteran deserves more as he adds immense value to any team he plays. He had a brilliant Big Bash League (BBL) where his all-round abilities came to the fore which won his team Melbourne Renegades a lot of games. Even Sunrisers auction team wouldn&#8217;t have expected that the other franchises will not bid much for Nabi.

Though he would be more than happy that <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/rashid-khan-elated-srh-procures-staggering-9-crores/"><strong>Rashid Khan</strong></a> will be playing alongside him for the second year in the running. The pace bowler brings a lot to the table and will be crucial to the team&#8217;s fortunes this time around. He would be keen to give his best after enduring a decent stint with KKR last year. Coulter Nile definitely deserved more given his exploits with the new ball.

The great cricketing brain was another steal deal in this list as Royals would be happy that they got him back for Rs. 4 Crore.</p>
<p>Rahane will open the innings for them without any doubt as he scored all his 4167 runs batting at the same position in 161 games. As many as 33 half-centuries is a testimony to his consistency and he has also registered a century in this format. His strike rate of 118.54 is debatable but he can hold one end and guide the team through. He would also be wanting to improve on his strike rate big time in this season. Brace yourselves to watch Rahane bat in blues once again after the break of a couple of years.</p>

<p>The complete overhauling of the squads was done over the weekend in the recently concluded mega-auction of the <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/category/t20/ipl-indian-premier-league/"><strong>Indian Premier League (IPL)</strong></a>. The teams were allowed to retain certain players and were also given the facility to use Right to Match (RTM) cards on a limited basis to get hold of the players they wanted to stay with them. While some franchises loved the concept, few were miffed as they wanted the full auction to take place. As it stands, the teams have been formed now and all the owners looked pretty satisfied with the players they bought.</p>
<p>Ben Stokes was the most expensive player as he attracted a lot of bidders despite clouds over his availability. Though there was a proud moment for Jaydev Unadkat who went for a whopping Rs. 11.5 Crore to Rajasthan Royals almost 11 times more than his base price which was a mere Rs. 50 Lakhs. Though there were a few steal deals for the teams as they were thrilled after buying a player they desired to for a low price than they expected.</p>

<p>Faf du Plessis was one of the marquee players in the auction and his base price was Rs. 1.5 Crore. Surprisingly, not many franchises looked interested for him as there was hardly a couple of biddings for him. <strong>Chennai Super Kings</strong> were aware of the happenings and didn&#8217;t miss out on using Right to Match (RTM) card for him quickly. Given the stature of the cricketer, it was surely a steal deal for them as the South African skipper is also a brilliant batsman in the shortest format of the game.</p>
<p>Du Plessis is a decent bet in the middle-order as he can play according to the requirements of the team. He has so far featured in 172 T20 matches scoring 3855 runs at a strike rate of 124.31 to go with a solitary century and 20 half-centuries. His IPL stats are even better as his strike-rate goes up to 127.96 and his average also touches 30 which proves that he is at ease scoring runs in India which will surely benefit CSK in the upcoming season.</p>

Colin Munro surely has the credentials to win the game single-handedly for his team if he starts middling everything. He is the only batsmen to have scored three centuries in T20 Internationals and also smashed a ton in his recent tour to India. None of the franchises seemed to show much interest in the Kiwi player and Delhi stole him at a decent amount.</p>
<p>The left-hander bats with an amazing strike rate of 146.78 in the 156 matches he has played in the format across all the leagues and at the highest level. He has amassed 3536 runs with four centuries and has managed to cross the 50-run mark 17 times. If only T20Is is considered the strike rate boosts up to 157.50 and he is also on the cusp of completing 1000 runs after only 40 games. His part-time bowling might bode well at times for Delhi during this season.</p>

He has remained unbeaten for his teams 70 times which proves he is one of the best finishers as well and has amassed 5540 runs at a staggering strike rate of 138.91 which shoots up to 141.17 in the International matches.</p>

<p>There was no hiding from the fact that Kolkata Knight Riders were bound to use the RTM card for the chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav. But even they wouldn&#8217;t have thought that they will need to shell out only Rs. 5.8 Crore for the hot property in the Indian cricket currently. It was expected that Kuldeep might garner a huge amount after his exploits for the Men in Blue in the home season which concluded in 2017. But what transpired was a little disappointment for the youngster.</p>
<p>Nonetheless, the current amount is also decent and he needs to justify the price tag now. The left-hander is already on the top of the world with 68 wickets in just 54 T20s he has played in his overall career. He strikes after every 17.3 balls and at an average of 21.30 which makes him the gun bowler for his captain. Kuldeep also has a five-wicket haul in this format which is a rare feat for a bowler to achieve in only 4-over spell.</p>

He enjoys his time batting against India as he has scored two T20I centuries so far. He has so much power that even his mishits go for maximums and the grounds in India are not big enough. <p>Mohammad Nabi, the all-rounder from Afghanistan, was bought back by Sunrisers Hyderabad during the auction for just Rs. 1 Crore. Surely, the veteran deserves more as he adds immense value to any team he plays. He had a brilliant Big Bash League (BBL) where his all-round abilities came to the fore which won his team Melbourne Renegades a lot of games. Even Sunrisers auction team wouldn&#8217;t have expected that the other franchises will not bid much for Nabi.</p>
<p>Though he would be more than happy that <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/rashid-khan-elated-srh-procures-staggering-9-crores/"><strong>Rashid Khan</strong></a> will be playing alongside him for the second year in the running. His economy is under 7 and averages under 21 with the bowl which is again unreal. SRH has certainly stolen him in this mega auction and he is set the stage much like the last year in IPL with his ally in the national side.</p>
