The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be hosting the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the match 38 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). Andre Russell played the spoilsport for SRH last time around with a blitzkrieg in the death overs and the Orange Army will be definitely looking to make amends this time around. Even KKR are in tatters after losing four matches on the trot and an exciting contest is on the cards.

David Warner is in exceptional form and he could turn out to be the difference between the two teams on the day. KKR’s bowling attack is not that threatening this season and that might just work in favour of the home team. Dinesh Karthik and his troops should come out with a plan in the powerplay where the left-handed Australian is the most dangerous and if he gets going, it will be definitely the fifth consecutive loss for KKR.

Record against the opposition (KKR) in the IPL:

Warner has had a liking to the KKR’s bowling for a long time now. He has pummeled 762 runs against the Men in Purple and Gold in 20 outings at an impeccable average of 42.33. The southpaw has also gone past the three-figure mark twice apart from three half-centuries.

Recent most innings vs KKR – 85, 37, 126, 26, 28

Record at the venue (Hyderabad):

Hyderabad is Warner’s favourite venue and it is no surprise. He has been playing for the franchise for quite some time now and has owned the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium. In the shortest format at the venue, Warner has 1576 runs to his name at 63.04 average which is insane.

T20 format – 32 inns, 1576 runs, 63.04 average, 3 centuries, 14 fifties

In 2019 at this venue – 50, 51, 15, 100*, 69

Recent form:

Warner came into the IPL after playing Grade cricket and a few other T20 leagues. Many felt he will be scratchy but he proved everyone wrong by hitting the straps from the word go. He is the Orange cap holder at the moment and is bossing the oppositions.

In IPL 2019 – 50, 51, 70*, 15, 10, 100*, 69, 85

Dream11 Scenario:

Costs 11 credits in the batsmen category and is picked by 92% of teams. He could be easily made the captain of the fantasy team based on the current form.
