These two men lead two sides that have never managed to get their hands on an IPL trophy. Match No.29 will see KL Rahul’s Punjab Kings going toe to toe with Rishabh Pant’s Delhi Capitals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. And, both the teams will enter the clash on 2nd May 2021 with confidence.

The Punjab Kings (PBKS) decimated the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) side by 34 runs in their previous encounter. Led by the exploits of a rampaging Chris Gayle and a classy KL Rahul, the Punjab side posted a total of 179/5 on the board. And, Harpreet Brar weaved his magic with the ball in hand to stun the deadly troika of Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and AB de Villiers and allowed the Punjab side to post a comfortable win.

The Delhi Capitals too will enter the game full of confidence. Their batting prodigy Prithvi Shaw showed the world his entire arsenal of shots as he whipped the Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) bowling attack on his way to a blistering 82 scored at a strike rate of 200 to allow his side to canter home with 7 wickets to spare. Along with Shaw, even veteran willow wielder Shikhar Dhawan has been in cracking form as well. The 35-year-old batsman has amassed 311 runs in the tournament so far and averages 44.43.

And, with both Dhawan and Shaw in scintillating form, the Punjab Kings’ (PBKS) bowlers will have their task cut out. On the other hand, the Delhi bowlers will not be at peace as well. If the likes of KL Rahul and Chris Gayle manage to repeat their heroics from their previous match once again, then the Delhi Capitals will also encounter a few problems.
