The left-arm pacer from Australia has been with Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings in previous seasons. RCB are playing Josh Hazlewood, who is more of a red-ball bowler. They might think of playing Jason Behrendorff to add variety to the pace attack. Jason is a good and skilful bowler, especially in white-ball cricket and can bowl anytime the skipper wants him to bowl.

Behrendorff is a regular feature for the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League. He has picked 86 BBL wickets in 72 games with an extraordinary economy rate of 6.92 runs per over. He has been one of the main reasons behind the success of the Scorchers in BBL. If he manages to replicate his BBL performance, then it will be a great sign for RCB.

The southpaw has played 12 ODIs and nine T20Is for Australia and has been very impressive in those outings. He has played only five IPL games after making his IPL debut in 2019. He might get a longer run by the Bangalore-based franchise. It will be interesting to see if RCB will go with him. Let’s see if Jason gets a chance.
