PBKS win the toss and opt to bowl against LSG

Meanwhile, LSG were invited to bat first by PBKS spinner Mayank Agarwal after winning the toss in Pune. The KL Rahul-led side is playing its first match at the MCA Stadium this season. On the other hand, the Punjab side is playing its second game of the season at the venue having won their previous game against five-time champions Mumbai Indians by 12 runs.

As far as the team combinations are concerned, the Super Giants dropped struggling Manish Pandey and beefed up their bowling attack with the inclusion of Avesh Khan. PBKS, however, didn’t make any changes to their playing XI having beaten Chennai Super Kings by 11 runs in their previous encounter. This is a crucial game for them in order to strengthen their case for the playoffs.
