One of the most accomplished gloveman, Wriddhiman Saha has been a part of the IPL since 2008 and has been contributing well to the team’s cause. However, he scored only 131 runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in nine matches at an average of 14.55 and a low strike rate of 93.57.

In the 2022 auction, Saha was picked by the Gujarat Titans (GT). However, he was not the first-choice wicket-keeper by the team management. He was called in as a replacement for the out-of-form Aussie cricketer, Matthew Wade, and made an immediate impact.

Until the completion of the league stage, the 37-year garnered a total of 312 runs at an average of 39, and a strike rate of 124.80, with three fifties. Saha has been a key force providing a good start to the team at the opening slot, and helping the team to finish at the top two spots and qualifying for the playoffs.
