Windies Women clinched the 3-match T20I against the Ireland Women with one game still to be played as they defeated the hosts by 45 runs in the second game. Despite no major contributions with the bat, the Windies team finished with 157/6 in their 20 overs. Stacy-Ann Knight’s 34 was the top-score while the stand-in skipper Kim Garth starred with the ball picking up three wickets for 22 runs.

In the chase, the hosts once again struggled as they kept losing wickets trying to up the ante. Garth, making her captaincy debut, once again came to her team’s rescue. She finished with an unbeaten 51 off 48 balls as Ireland Women were limited to 112/6. Kim Garth thus became only the 4th captain to score a fifty and bag a 3-wicket haul in the same T20I game in Women’s cricket.

With the series already decided, Stafanie Taylor might take rest or bat down the order like in the previous game. Windies rested Shamilia Connell and continued with Shakera Selman and Afy Fletcher. Connell could come back for one of Selman and Fletcher.

Probable Winners:

Windies Women will be favourites to win the final game of the series and complete a whitewash.
