Irfan Pathan names new born son Imran Khan Pathan

Indian allrounder Irfan Pathan who was blessed with a baby boy on the night of December 19 has named his son Imran. The little boy born in a cricketing family now has the name of a cricketing legend as well. Irfan shared a picture of the Imran holding his father’s finger in his tiny hands. He was all emotional when he broke the news of the birth of his first child on Twitter.

Irfan had termed it a moment like no other; he couldn’t describe his feelings learning that he has become a father now. Today he posted another tweet to announce the name and it turns out that the name Imran has a close relation with the family. We all know of the pair of cricketing brothers Irfan and Yusuf Pathan with the latter being the elder among the two but they had another brother elder to Yusuf who was named Imran. The family probably lost him at a very young age a lot of which is not known and thus the name becomes even more special.

The 32-year-old Baroda skipper posted a tweet this morning and wrote – “This name is close to our hearts n family….The name is IMRAN:) #Imrankhanpathan @iamyusufpathan”

The Pathan family is closely knit and live together in their house in Baroda. Both Irfan and Yusuf leave no chance despite their busy cricketing schedules to spend valuable time with the family. Imran is now the third child in the family and has two elder brothers Ayaan and Raiyaan. Yusuf who is enjoying a bit of a break from the on-field action after the conclusion of Baroda’s Ranji Trophy 2016-17 journey has of late been travelling around with Ayaan and the father-son duo certainly seem to be enjoying their time together.
