In the recent times, the global awareness about wildlife conservation has been on the rise. The rapid rate at which some of the animal species are getting endangered and extinct has put on a big alarm for the human beings to react. The need for wildlife conservation has been realized. The celebrities have been promoting wildlife conservation and former English cricketer Kevin Pietersen has been a very vocal volunteer of the same.
In a recent update, Kevin Pietersen responded to a tweet posted by Bollywood diva Disha Patani. While the fans might think the tweet had something to do with the glam business, the reality strikes blunt. KP replied to a post shared by Disha Patani in which the latter had talked about one of the only two northern White Rhinos alive on the planet.
Recently, the last male White Rhino, named Sudan, died and many celebrities had expressed their grief about the same. The likes of Rohit Sharma and Kevin Pietersen were the first ones to react on the same from the cricket fraternity. Certainly, KP feels very connected to the animal conservation. He had recently adopted a baby leopard from Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The former English cricketer is an active member of SORAI.
SORAI, that stands for Save Our Rhinos – Africa and India, works extensively for the conservation of the endangered species of the rhinos. KP, being an active member of the same, does not let any opportunity go to show his love for the rhinos. When he saw Disha Patani tweet about ‘Fatu’, the white rhino, he was quick to come up with a message.
Here is what Disha Patani had tweeted:
“this is #Fatu one of the only two northern #WhiteRhino alive on the planet. Let’s hope for the best,” Disha Patani wrote in her tweet.
