Rashid Khan is mostly known for his leg-spin bowling as he hasn’t flattered to deceive while showing his skills. After playing six years of T20 cricket, he is already sixth in the list of all-time highest wicket-takers. He has picked up 370 wickets from 265 matches with six four-wicket hauls and three five-wicket hauls to his name. Rashid has been a revelation in the shorter format of the game.

In fact, at the age of 22, he is only 28 wickets short of becoming the second-highest wicket-taker in the all-time list. South Africa’s Imran Tahir is currently placed second in the list. West Indies’ veteran Dwayne Bravo tops the chart with 527 wickets from 482 matches with 10 four-wicket hauls and two five-wicket hauls. Rashid also has a stupendous economy of 6.27, meaning that he keeps a check on run-scoring.

Apart from his bowling skills, Rashid is no mug with the bat either. The Nangarhar-born prodigy has played a number of match-winning hands batting lower down the order. Rashid is someone, who can step on the gas right from the outset. He is also known for playing the Helicopter Shot to good effect. The shot has garnered him loads of praises from the cricket fraternity.

In the meantime, Rashid posted a video where he can be seen, playing the Helicopter Shot with a golf stick. He also asked his fans if they ever tried playing the stroke.

The post caught the eyes of Kevin Pietersen, the former England cricketer. The retired batter asked Rashid if he ever tried the Switch Hit with the golf stick.

Rashid, recently, played for the Lahore Qalandars in the 2021 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). In the tournament, the tweaker picked up 11 wickets. However, the Sohail Akhtar-led Qalandars couldn’t qualify for the playoffs after a series of defeats while chasing targets.

He is currently in England where he will ply his trade for Sussex and Trent Rockets in the T20 Blast and The Hundred. Thereafter, he is also likely to play for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the second leg of the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL).
