Virat Kohli’s return is one good news not only for the Royal Challengers Bangalore but also for the Indian Premier League itself. The tournament has not been able to live up to its expectation in the absence of the Virat Kohli, Quinton de Kock, AB de Villiers. The Royal Challengers have struggled in the batting department in the absence of their stalwart and captain Kohli.

Kohli suffered an injury to his right shoulder while fielding against the Australians in the third Test match of the series in Ranchi. The injury saw the Indian captain getting ruled out of the entire series and the opening few fixtures for his franchise too. Royal Challengers have suffered not only in the batting department but also have been less aggressive under the Australian all-rounder Shane Watson.

Kohli earlier announced his return on the 14th of April on Instagram with a video. The caption that accompanied the video read “Can’t wait to get back onto the field. Almost there now ?✌️?. 14th April ⏳”.

The Challengers’ captain Kohli is yet to feature for the franchise in the IPL due to his injury, went at a full throttle in a training session conducted by the Royal Challenger Bangalore in the supervision of the RCB Team Physio Evan Speechly.

The training session on Wednesday evening saw the Indian captain hit the ground running with some grueling and tiresome fielding session. Further, the 28-year-old made some sharp attempts in the field with the dives coming out more often. He also went on and flung himself to catch the ball, pulling off a few incredible athletic catches.

Additionally, the Indian stalwart had an extended batting session in the nets ahead of his potential return against Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians. The Royal Challengers captain showed no signs of discomfort as he knocked the bowling unit to most parts of the ground.

It is not only the Royal Challengers fans who are excited to witness the return of the batting sensation, but the entire world is glued to the TV sets when he returns to the Challengers squad when they take on the Mumbai Indians in Bengaluru on Friday.
