All was well between Bangladesh and Afghanistan as the two were going to face-off against each other in the much-anticipated Dehradun stadium. However, all is not well in both camps at the moment following the stories of repeated Leopard attacks in and around the area. Reports suggest that a few Bangladeshi players were returning to the hotel from practice when the auto-rickshaw driver began spinning tales of Leopards.

The Leopards in Dehradun isn’t a new story by any means. In fact, a five-year-old boy was carried off by a leopard and his half-eaten body was discovers about 500 metres from his house while on April 7, a woman was attacked in the same area.

Phil Simmons plays the role of media manager while Sabbir plays the foodie

While the Bangladesh players returned to their hotels with tales of Leopards, it was Phil Simons who was playing the role of the media manager when the press conference with Asghar Stanikzai became a tad bit disorganized. Simmons, who is certainly not new to coaching went ahead and instructed reporters to address both Asgar and Shakib before stating that this was indeed a new experience as far as he was concerned.

At one point, Simmons finally had enough and said: “hold on everyone, let’s try to get things organised. You have to put your hands up and ask questions one by one. You just can’t shout.” When Shakib was asked about his thoughts on the press conference, he said: “It’s okay, obviously it’s a new experience but it’s ok with me.”

While all the drama was going on, Sabbir Rahman went ahead and attempted a few Dehradun delicacies.“There are not many options choose from so chicken is the only thing I have been eating for the past few days,” said Sabbir Rahman.
