The battle between England and Australia is always enthralling, may it be on the field or off it. Their current and former players always take a jibe at each other. In a similar conversation, Michael Vaughan has trolled Adam Gilchrist after the latter had made a fun of him by recalling the incident of him getting castled off Shane Bond’s bowling.

Adam Gilchrist had posted a video of the game between England and New Zealand way back in 2007 at the Gabba in Brisbane. In the video, Shane Bond had managed to disturb the timber of Vaughan by bowling a searing inswinging yorker. Gilly trolled the former England skipper in his Instagram post and wittily said, “Well Played” to him.

England had lot one of their openers already and needed their captain to step up to the task. But he fell victim to Bond’s fiery delivery at the start of his spell itself.

Vaughan’s epic response

Michael Vaughan is generally known for his top-notch humour and it once again came to the fore as he responded to the troll from Adam Gilchrist. He indirectly took a dig at the recent ball-tampering saga in Australian cricket and claimed that someone had used the sandpaper to make the ball swing to a large extent. “Someone must have used some sandpaper on that ball to get it swinging so much,” his reply read.

Recently, Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft were banned by Cricket Australia (CA) for their involvement in trying to alter the condition of the ball during the Test match against South Africa in Cape Town. Vaughan left no stone unturned in his attempt to remind Gilchrist of the infamous incident.

Jokes apart, both the former cricketers are very good friends and admire each other a lot. Both of them are active on social media more often than not and keep their fans engaged with their interesting posts.
