Left-arm spinner from Ariadaha Sporting Club in Kolkata, Mohammad Saif is all set to gain headlines as he picked all 10 wickets of an innings in a 2nd division league match. With the help of an unbelievable spell of 10-28, Saif helped his side to defeat National Athletic Club by 38 runs.

According to Saif, he utilized the most out of the turning pitch at Taltala ground while sticking to the basics

Quoting the left armer, “It assisted spin and I was concentrating on getting turn and bounce and keeping things simple”

An avid fan of the Royal Challengers of Bangalore coach and former New Zealand Spinner Daniel Vettori aims at progressing through the ranks and ultimately represent the country.

Saif said, “My first target is to get the team to the first division of the CAB (Cricket Association of Bengal) league,”

The two-day encounter lasted only a single day as the National Athletic Club were dismissed for 99 in just 20 overs after they were set a target of 137. This match has truly been an anomaly as most of the matches this season had been run fest. Many players in the league went on to pile up massive runs by scoring double centuries and triple centuries. Bengal middle-order batsmen Pankaj Shaw went on to score as many as 413 runs while representing Barisha Sporting Club in a fixture against Dakshin Kalikata Sansad.
